Gambas Chapagetti Recipe | Korean Black Bean Noodles with Garlic Shrimp one-pan recipe

Step 1. Prepare the Shrimp and Garlic

Get your Chapagetti, olive oil, shrimp and garlic ready. These ingredients give the dish its signature gambas-inspired flavor.

Optional: Onion, cut into 1-inch chunks

Step 2. Cook in Olive Oil

Cook the shrimp and garlic in olive oil until the shrimp are fully cooked and the garlic becomes fragrant.

Step 3. Add the Seasoning

Add half the Chapagetti ½ seasoning packet and ½ tablespoon of oyster sauce. Add crushed red pepper flakes or dried peperoncino to taste. Adjust the amount depending on how spicy you like it.

Step 4. Add the Noodles

Add the noodles and 240 ml water directly to the pan. There's no need to boil them separately.

Step 5. Stir and Reduce

Stir until the noodles are tender and the sauce becomes rich and glossy.

Final Tip: More Like Pasta Than Instant Noodles!

Despite being made with instant noodles, this dish tastes surprisingly more like a rich, garlicky seafood pasta than traditional instant ramyun.

For even more flavor, try adding onion pieces cut into roughly 1-inch (2.5 cm) chunks — about the size of the tip of your thumb — right at the beginning, when cooking the garlic and shrimp in olive oil.

The onion adds a subtle sweetness that beautifully complements the savory black bean sauce and garlic-infused olive oil.
